The Auspice Management Solutions Certification Process
Our streamlined certification process is designed to meet your organization's unique needs:
- Initial Process: The certification body reviews the system to confirm feasibility and suitability.
- Pre-Audit : A preliminary assessment is conducted to identify potential issues.
- Preliminary Evaluation: We conduct a pre-assessment to identify and address potential issues.
- Certification Audit: A thorough, two-stage audit process:
- Stage 1: Document review and readiness assessment
- Stage 2: On-site inspection of your management system
- Certification Issuance: Upon successful completion, you receive ISO certification.
- Surveillance Audits: Regular surveillance audits are conducted to ensure the continued conformity and effectiveness of the management system.
- Re-certification Audit: Before the certificate expires, a re-certification audit is conducted to verify ongoing compliance and renew the certification.
Pre-Audit
Once you've partnered with Auspice Management Solutions, we'll arrange your assessments with one of our expert auditors. The initial certification audit involves two mandatory visits. To ensure readiness, your management system must have been fully operational for at least three months and undergone a management review and a complete cycle of internal audits. Note: Some technical standards may have additional requirements, which we'll communicate to you in advance.
Initial Certification Audit — Stage 1
The first stage of the audit confirms your organization's readiness for full assessment. This typically occurs at your management system center and involves a comprehensive documentation review.
During the Stage 1 assessment, our auditor will:
- Verify the accuracy of your application information
- Ensure your management system aligns with standard requirements
- Confirm the certification scope
- Review your legal compliance evaluation
The Stage 1 assessment results in:
- A detailed report identifying potential Areas of Concern (AOCs)
- Scheduling of the Stage 2 assessment
- A comprehensive assessment plan for Stage 2
Initial Certification Audit — Stage 2
The second stage of the audit is designed to verify that your management system fully meets the requirements of the chosen standard in practice. Our auditor will assess all relevant activities and locations within the certification scope, including site work and multiple locations if applicable.
During this stage, our auditor will:
- Gather objective evidence to confirm system compliance
- Perform sample audits of processes and activities within the scope
- Identify and report any non-conformities and improvement opportunities
- Create a surveillance plan and set the date for the first annual follow-up
Certification cannot be issued if major non-conformities are found until corrective actions are implemented and verified. This must be completed within 6 months to comply with accreditation requirements, or a new Stage 2 assessment may be required.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the two-stage audit, Your certification remains valid for three years, maintained through yearly surveillance audits and a comprehensive recertification audit every three years. Our team at Certification Body is dedicated to supporting you throughout this process, ensuring ongoing compliance and helping you leverage your certification for business growth.
Certification Validity Period
Upon successful certification, Certification Body issues a certificate valid for 3 years. This certification is maintained through annual surveillance audits (partial assessments) and a comprehensive recertification audit (full system assessment) every 3 years.
We conduct yearly surveillance audits to ensure ongoing compliance with the chosen Standard(s) throughout the three-year certification cycle.
The frequency and duration of surveillance depend on factors such as:
- The size and structure of your organization
- The complexity and risk level of your activities
- The number of management systems standards included in your certification scope
- The number of sites covered by your certification
During these surveillance audits, we emphasize the importance of demonstrating continuous improvement. This is a key requirement of all ISO standards and a principle that Certification Body strongly advocates for our clients.
