ISO 9001: 2015
Quality Management Systems (QMS)

What is ISO 9001?

ISO 9001 is a globally acknowledged standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS). It is the most widely adopted QMS standard across the globe, with more than 1.1 million certifications issued in 178 countries.

ISO 9001 provides an organized framework and core principles to help businesses manage their operations efficiently. It ensures a common-sense approach to meeting customer and stakeholder needs. Essentially, ISO 9001 certification lays the groundwork for having effective systems and personnel in place to consistently deliver quality products or services.

Successful businesses thrive on strong quality control. To gain trust, it’s essential that your products or services consistently meet or surpass expectations. ISO 9001 allows potential customers to quickly assess whether your organization has invested in ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

The standard aligns with the structure provided by Annex SL. ISO 9001:2015 enhances compatibility with other management systems, like ISO 14001, enabling more streamlined and efficient system integration.

ISO 9001 certifications saw a 3.5% increase globally in 2020, reflecting the growing significance and demand for IAS accredited certification, as highlighted in the latest ISO Survey.

The key to any successful business is strong quality control. If you want your operation to thrive, your potential consumer base must be confident that the goods or services you offer meet or exceed expected standards. ISO 9001 is a quick and easy way for potential consumers to see if your company has put the time and effort into making sure your product or service is the best it can possibly be.

One benefit of the ISO 9001 certification is that it is a flexible framework. It doesn’t tell a potential consumer that one way of running a business is better than any other; instead, certification verifies that a particular business meets ISO 9001's quality management system standards. It also verifies that their method of manufacturing a product or providing a service has been designed to ensure a high-quality outcome for the customer.

ISO 9001 sets the international standard for companies looking for ways to meet or exceed quality control metrics. At the same time, it helps consumers distinguish between companies, allowing them to make educated choices when choosing a vendor. It does this by identifying best practices for each industry, standardizing those practices and promoting adherence to those practices.

Steps to Certification

Step 1

Submit a Quote Request Form to help us gain insights into your business and its needs. You can choose either the online quick quote or formal request form. This data allows us to precisely define your assessment requirements and offer a proposal for certification.

Step 2

Once you’ve accepted the proposal, we’ll schedule your assessment with an Auspice Assessor. This includes two key visits which make up the Initial Certification Audit. Ensure your system has been in place for at least three months, completed a management review, and undergone a full internal audit cycle.

Step 3

After completing the two-part audit, a certification decision is made. If successful, certification is issued by ACME. You'll get both digital and physical copies of your certificate. This certification is valid for three years and is maintained through annual surveillance audits, with a recertification audit every three years.
